How to wirelessly connect Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to your Citroën

One of the biggest new features of the new Citroën models (such as the New C3 and the C3 Aircross) is the multimedia system. Citroën Connect 10″ Touchscreen. It allows you to mirror your cell phone. no cables needed.

If you’ve just picked up your car and are struggling with scattered wires, follow these steps to set up a wireless connection:

1. Preparing the Cell Phone

Make sure that the Bluetooth and the Wi-Fi Both of your smartphone devices must be turned on. (Important: Mirroring uses Wi-Fi for data transmission, but the “key” to connecting everything is Bluetooth).

2. On the Multimedia Center Screen

1. Click on the icon Telephone or Connectivity in the main menu.
2. Select “Add new device” or “Search for phone”.

3. On your Cell Phone

1. Go to Bluetooth settings and look for Citroën (or the name that appears on the car’s screen).
2. Click to pair and confirm that the numeric code is the same on both screens.

4. The Magic Question

After pairing, the car and the cell phone will ask: Do you want to use Android Auto / Apple CarPlay?.

• Answer that YES on your cell phone and on the car screen.
• Grant the contact and messaging permissions that the phone requests.

5. Done!

From now on, every time you get in your car, Waze, Google Maps, and Spotify will automatically appear on the screen within seconds, without you having to take your phone out of your pocket.

If mirroring freezes or doesn’t connect on the first try, don’t despair. Car Wi-Fi systems can suffer interference in areas with many antennas.
