• Used in C4 Hatch, Pallas and C4 Cactus.
• Average power: 113 to 120 hp (depending on the year).
• Simple engine, but requires attention to ignition coils and timing belt.
• Technical tip: The timing belt should be replaced every 60,000 km or 4 years, even if the car is driven infrequently.

2.0 16V Flex

• Present at C4 Hatch, Pallas and Picasso.
• Power: up to 151 hp.
• More robust than the 1.6, but more fuel-inefficient.
• Technical tip: Pay attention to urban fuel consumption. Proper preventive maintenance (correct spark plugs, filters, and 5w40 oil) can help reduce fuel consumption by up to 10%.

1.6 THP Turbo

• Used in C4 Lounge and C4 Cactus.
• Power: 165 to 173 hp.
• Modern and powerful engine, but susceptible to lack of maintenance.
• Technical tip: requires synthetic oil 0W30 or 5W30 PSA approved oil and frequent changes (every 7,000–8,000 km). If you use the wrong oil, the risk of carbon buildup increases significantly.
